Parkarized revolver?

Why doesn't S&W/Ruger/Taurus make one? what is the benifits of one? draw backs? I know Armscore? makes one but its not a "name brand" its a little cheap $200 revolver.

Colt made some during the early 80's strike, the Agent and Peackeeper were two of them. I'd guess that no one makes them now because parkerizing, though inexpensive and durable, is considered unattractive by a lot of folks. They're intent is to appeal to buyers so they make what the market wants.

Personally, I like the no nonsense, all business look of a parkerized revolver. I have a custom 3" M29 that is parkerized and recently sold a PC 586 L-Comp that I'd had parkerized.

Parkerized finishes ...back in the day ....like the S&W pre-model 10's -- the Victory models...the parkerizing wore off with holster wear.

Parkerized probably isn't the softest finish out there...but its not the most durable based on what I see. It also has kind of a dull / primer look on the guns ...so it isn't "sexy" these days.../ there are some modern finishes, that look a little like parkerized ...that are harder...
