 What is every ones opinion about Para Ordnance and their P13 .45 I just purchased one and like it but am curious about other peoples opinion. Does anybody know about after market add ons for this gun?

good shootin.

red:

My P-13 was the first "real" handgun I bought (I spent "real" money on it). It's one of my favorite handguns. Trijicon sights, Hogue grips, a Wilson guide rod, and a beavertail grip safety are the additions I made to mine.

I would watch magazine springs/followers. These are the weak link in my experience, as far as feeding/reliability are concerned.

I bought the pistol originally to carry, and decided it was too heavy and bulky. For accuracy, speed, and shooting confidence, though, it's still my baby.

I love mine, except recently the rear sight came loose and there is some slight rust beginning to develop. For firepower, you can't beat 13+1 rounds of .45 in a mid-sized package. The gun is accurate, and well made. I need to get that sight fixed, and it will be one of my favorites again.

I have a P-13 two-tone (ss frame/black slide) that I am building as a carry pistol. I added a King's long adj. trigger, Chip Mccormick hammer and sear, and an Ed Brown ss mag catch. This is one very good shooter and like branrot said ...13+1 of .45

Aftter 5000+ rounds, my P-13 has been throated & ramped, I've also replaced all the springs. Added night sights and had it hardchromed to boot. It shoots great and should last forever. Will need to tune the extractor soon though.

Most people will tell you to keep an eye on the mag springs, these seem to go out faster than on any other gun I own.

 Thanx for your input, where do you like to get your after market add ons? I am trying to find out if I can build it up to .45super any opinions on this. Looking forward to reloading for it need to go get some dies after payday. I have been very inpressed on how it shots so far can't wait to get some more practice under my belt and maybe some add ons, Probably new sights first the front sight is a little loose.

good shootin

I had one and really liked it. I spent quite a bit on it putting Novak nite sights and soem other mods. Mine was an alloy framed gun and if I were gonna get another one, I'd opt for the steel frame. I shot mine about 1,000 rds of ball and carry ammo. The frame started to peen where the recoil spring plug rides inside after about 500 rds. It slowly got worse as I shot it more, so I sold it. I talked to people from Para, and they told me that that cant happen! LOL. I dealt with them about a bad 13 rd magazine with no good results also.
