I'm shopping for a 1911-style handgun, and have had my eye on a ParaOrd P14.45 Limited. I would like to know other people's experiences with the P14 limited or any other size (regarding, perhaps, accuracy and potential of a lemon, or any other good info). Also, is it worth the extra dought to get a limited para? Thanks........

Para-14 ltd = sweetness

I own one and like it, except the factory sites that came with it are junk.

I just sent the slide to George Stringer to have Novak nites sites installed, it will then take the place of my Glock M-20 as my duty weapon of choice.

I have heard several comments on the quality control of Paras weapons not being all that stringent...But i have no problem recommending buying one. To me it has the fit and feel and shoots like a Browning hi-power on steroids.........;)

Nuff said. 12-34hom

I had a 16-40. When I sold it, I went looking at the 14-45's but decided against it because I couldn't get hi-caps for it. I figured I could get a Colt, Springfield or Kimber w/ a slimmer grip and still find 10-round mags for them pretty easily.
The guns tho are pretty nice. My 16-40 functioned very well, it just ended up being the one I could live with out.

I love the gun but am having problems with some of the magazine's reliability. Other than the mag issue, I love it.:)

I LIKE MINE ALOT. AS FAR AS MAGS GO BROWNELLS SELLS TUBES TO 19 RDS AD THE PO EXTENDED BASE PLATE AND YOU GET 20 RDS
IVE PUT 1000 RDS OF CHEAP AMMO THROUGH IT WITH NO MALFUNCTION

I really liked the one I shot. The Limited is worth the extra money. The standard trigger is terrible and would have to be worked over immediately.
