Parallel comb vs monte carlo: varmint rifle

A parallel comb vs a monte-carlo comb with roll over: which one is ideal for a varmint rifle, shooting from a stationary position or shooting off hand (e.g. walking a field and shooting at a fox should one be spotted).

I have found two rifles in 222 that I am interested in: one has the parallel comb while the other has a monte carlo roll over stock. I can't handle both since both are located out of state. Is a monte carlo stock strictly for big game hunting rifles or are they popular/useful for varmint hunting (benchrest or shooting off hand).

Thanks.

I, personally don't care for the very pronounced "roll over" cheek pieces. I come from a family of ambidextrous and/or lefty shooters so those great lumps of wood on the off side don't fly well. As for the difference between a parallel cheek rest or one tapered down toward the pistol grip, you'll not see much diff with a light recoiling varmint rifle. With a big boomer, the tapered cheek piece comes away from the cheek in recoil lessening the chance of it smacking your cheek bone or rubbing cheek skin raw after a few shots.
Most of my hunting type rifles have a tapered upper surface while the target types(even the 308/30-06 class) have flat or parallel upper surfaces(a 10-12 # .308 just doesn't kick that much).
