Para P-12 recoil spring?

I've got a P12-45 Para Ordinance that is completely stock. It's got the alloy frame and I run 10 and 12 round mags in it.

My problem is a feed problem. I'm not sure if the feed ramp is the problem, or the recoil spring is too strong. It seems to catch the spent brass before it ejects, and locks it in the ejection port or it will hold the spent case just above the feeding case and lock the slide.

I have considered getting a lighter recoil spring, but I'm not 100% sure this is the problem.

Anyone else run into this problem?

Keith, is this happening with more than one Brand of bullet ?
If the cartridge doesn't have enuff oomph, the slide wont go back all the way trapping the spent case.
Also the extractor may need tuning (it might be too tight), or it might be broken as the Series 80 has a very thin section where the firing pin plunger goes through it & are prone to breaking there.
Sometimes the feedramp needs a light polihing too.
George Stringer on the Gunsmith forum can help you out if more info is needed.

Have you contacted Para about this? They gave me very good service when the brass was ejecting right back into me eyes. Sent me a new ejector.

Check it out with them, they are good!

Actually sounds like your recoil spring is either too strong, or maybe you have a short ejector like I did.
