Been looking on TFL for sometime have not posted much. Lot of good information is presented. I an going to buy a 9mm 1911 style handgun looking at the para-ordnance P18-9 any thoughts on the p18-9. thanks to all for The firing line.

I don't lnow alot about that particular model. I personally like the P-13. The P-10 that I shot was nice but a little too small for my hands. the P-13 fits me best. The P-14 was a little too big for carry for me. The only thing about P/O is that sometimes there brand new factory mags can be a bit** to load when they are new and tend to need to be broken in, I have also experienced jams with reloads to to the heavy factory recoil spring.

Remy, uh youdo know that the P-18 isn't available yet with 10rnd mags don't you ?
Unless your LEO or Military you can't buy them with the 18rnd mags.
A P-16 with a +2 base pad WILL hold 19rnds of .40 S&W though ! :)
Drop down & see me some time at..

I just e-mailed caroline will wait for reply.
Yes It was the dealer who told me this

Not interested in 40 like 9mm and 45

Thanks

i have a para p-16 .40 limited and a p-14 .40 custom. both of them shoot great and i am very pleased. the p-14 .40 only has the 10 round mags, but i can stick the p-16 mag in if i need a little extra firepower! if you get a 9mm, .40, or .45 you can't go wrong.

Got reply from caroline P18-9 can only be sold to law inforcement or for export. I do not dislike the 40 S&W just not interested in it, I an set up for 45 & 9mm 223 for reloading and I just prefer these calibers.

I have sigs in 45 &9mm Kimber in 45 and HK in 45 double action wanted a single action 9mm.

Remy, if you can find them, Para .38 Super mags will handle the 9mm cartridge !
They hold 20rnds too :)
They might cost around $150 per mag though :(
