I have a para ordnance P1640. the magazine is a double stack and can hold 16 rounds. ITs a 40 smith and wesson. this is my first handgun and its a good one. i need help dissasembling it. IF anybody knows how please help. its a full size one too.
Is this a new gun?
If so, did it not come with instructions?
Is it the LDA mutation?
If not, it comes apart pretty much like a real 1911 for which instructions are at: http://www.m1911.org/full_striping.htm
no this is not a new gun and it was shot very little when i got it. ITs not the LDA model. the guy told us it dissaesmbles just like a 45. is there even any reason to take the gun apart anyway
If it's not the LDA model, it strips just like a 1911. Even the LDA is similar but there are many more smaller and more important parts NOT to lose in the receiver than the SA model.
