I've had two Para's since they first came on the scene.First purchase was the steel frame when it hit the market in the early 90's.Just bought one of their ramped barrels and contacted them on having the frame milled to accept it.Their response was that they dont provide service of this sort on their products?God love Colt,Smith and Wesson and Ruger.I've sent them their product back for repair, refinishing,or alterations with nary a hitch.I dont know what Para-Ordinances stance is but it looks like they dont want their products back.

I also own 2 of them. But I have never heard of them turning down work in the custom shop before.
Find a great 1911 smithy close to home for the work. Saves on shipping that way. :D

Milling the frame for a ramped barrel is no big deal, I don't know if Para offers this serivice though.
Whoever you have do the work be sure they fully understand the timing of the barrel or you will have major problems.
Keep in mind, if whoever does the work does not have you send the complete gun there's no way they can check the timing.

Unlike the other makers mentioned, Para doesn't have a custom shop. They just have a Repair shop and a Pro Shop for accessories. You'll have to ask a custom builder to do the work.
