Para Ordinance p-10

I am torn. I am planning to order a P10-.40 next week but I am hearing alot of horror stories about the p10's feeding problems. All of the complaints that I have heard are from the 45 cal. Is this the same for the .40?? Should I change my mind? The shooting range here doesn't have any paras and I don't know anyone with one either. I like the kimber ultra carry but the price is a little out of my budget (I could save up a few weeks more though). PLEASE HELP!! I don't want to end up with a $750.00 boat anchor. Also, where can I get the best price on a p10?

Thanks
P.S. Don't try to convince me to buy a glock :-)

In my expeience with the P10, it had several FTF's(in .40) but alot of that can be due to the fact that the gun just didn't feel right in my larger than average hands. I can't definitively say the gun was to blame. I do know however that I really didn't like the feel of it. I would opt for the ultra carry or even The new daly compact. The latter just seem to fit me better.

BBanks,
Welcome to TFL!
I got my P-10 (.45 caliber) about 3 1/2 years ago, shortly after they came out.
After numerous FTF during the first 150 rounds, I took to a local gunsmith who polished the ramp.
Since then (nearly 450 rounds), I've only had 3 FTF and no cycling problems the last 225 rounds.
You simply can't limp-wrist it.
And the pistol is more accurate with hollowpoints than with FMJ. Go figure.
I plan on holding on to mine.
But I suggest you give the 40 a look.
Good luck and safe shooting.
