Results in my search for a .40 pistol...

I had narrowed my choices to the PO P16 Limited and the H&K USP. I eliminated the USP for several reasons, though its obviously a very fine weapon.

I handled Para's extensively for the first time today. Mostly examined the P13, 14 & 16 (s/s Limited models). Impressed with workmanship, fit and finish, grip size fits my hand good,...

Question: Whats the deal with Para's ambi thumb safety? Why is the left side (strong side for RH shooters) lever so much thinner than the right side? Its like Para sets up their pistols for LH shooters. If I buy a Para the ambi thumb safety will defintely have to be replaced, as the strong side lever is to thin for me.

Opinions anyone?

ps- Now, I'm shopping for a .40, but I really liked the P13 Ltd .45acp. Anyone want to buy a bunch of factory .40 ammo and/or brass and bullets? I may go with the .45 so all .40 stuff will be priced to sell!

Look at the mechanism on the left side, the detent and spring to lock the safety in position, it takes up the space.
