I want to know if anyone has one and how they like it. I checked out the Compact one 3.5" Barrel 7round mag, SS . The trigger pull was unbelivable for Double action very light. I am seriously thinking about getting one. And wanted some opinions. My dealer is holding it for me. :D

Thanks

I added an LDA 16-40 to my collection a short time ago. Para does a good job with their pistols, I really like the wide bodies.:) It is a great DAO system. I find it easy to stage the trigger for target shooting and just as easy to "pull through" when pin or plate shooting. I'm happy with mine.

Thanks for the replys, I was hoping to get more but oh well. I did end up buying it and I get to pick it up in 7 days cant wait. My dealer gave me the free movie to watch makes me want it even more..

Let me echo 3-Gun and say I also have a 1640 LDA Ltd and am very much in love with the trigger. It seems easier to shoot than even my "tuned" 1911 STI Trojan. As he said, it shoots dead straight when you stage the trigger. More important, you don't lose accuracy if you "snap" off a shot from the trigger forward position... this is the only gun I've ever seen like that.

I saw the same movie (with Todd Jarett) where he shows how to break down the gun.... except his gun was the kind with a shorty guide rod with a wimpy recoil spring your Grandma could compress with her pinkie.

The 1640 has the full-length guide rod and a spring that is definitely for men only.... start doing the bicep curls now if you've only got a week to get in shape.
