Nice write up. Looks like a real good shooter. I just purchased a p14 black ops and a p14 pro custom. Hope to get to the range tomorrow. I have heard nothing but good things about para customer service. I think their products are fantastic value with all the features you would want. They do get a bad wrap. Pretty hard to beat what they have to offer. Travis Tomasie represents them and is a frequent contributor on the 1911 forum. Depending on when you made your purchase you can qualify for $100 rebate. Personally their high caps feel better in my hands then single stacks. I love them.
Thanks for the write up.

Great write up....I have tried to love Para ordinance but the three I have dealt with all had to go back to the factory...2 out of the box and one after 50 rounds. ..dissapointing to say the least.

Have a Rock Island Armory 1911 in 10mm, 5" barrel. Very accurate, mild recoil... a pussycat, probably due to the extra metal under the muzzle for the rail extension, which helps calm the beast. Loaded with standard factory 180 gr fmj it weighs in at 56 oz, heavy but being a slender 1911 it carries well in a shoulder holster.

Yes it really kicks out the empties, brass is up to 20 yards away, when you can find it in the grass. May install a heftier spring.

Pretty versatile caliber which I got into due to the ammo shortages with all the other calibers, had no difficulty getting 10mm ammo.
All in all, if one is searching for a caliber for street or trail, the 10mm appears versatile enough to meet all SD needs.

Thanks for the review, enjoyed reading it. Shot a Para once, it was very accurate.

Congrats on your acquisition !
