Para 7. 45 LDA

I'm getting more pissed by the minute.ParaOrd sold me a defective(out of the box)7.45 LDA a month ago.I sent it back, unfired,,as per instructions.to their warranty center.Despite lengthy correspondence with their vice president of quality control and his "mea culpas" and assurances that this has never happened before and that a replacement is on the way(he even gave me the serial number) not a damn thing has happened.I have no gun,the UPS freight has not been repayed, and apparently I have no recourse.
My advice to all of you out there is to avoid Para like the plague it has proven itself to be.Their alleged commitment to quality control and customer satisfaction is mere lip service.Buy American and buy elsewhere!!

I returned my 7-45 LDA to the factory for an upgrade on the trigger platform..Sent it UPS next day on a Monday, received the pistol back on Friday, the same week..That`s fast in any ones book.
Just what was the problem with your pistol ?

I also had to send my 7.45 LDA back to PO for repair (problem was no fault of theirs). I received the gun back about three days after they received it; less than a week after I shipped it to them.

My experience with Para-Ordnance has been excellent. Customer service was excellent and the pistol is excellent.

Manufacturers of everything from automobiles to homes to toasters have all types of quality control checks that they perform. No matter how many checks are performed the fact remains that every once in a while a bad one will get through.

I am an extremely satisfied customer of Para-Ordnance and would heartily recommend them to anyone interested in that type of pistol.

Para 7.45LDA

Apparently Para is making up for all the above by screwing me.Out of the box,the slide stop tab wouldn't engage in the notch on the slide and there was a problem with the trigger resetting when the slide was allowed to move forward from the SS position.Para repair said the slide was warped among other things and said they would replace the unfired pistol. This is quality control ??
I got the pistol on July 17th after the Kalifornia 10 day wait, function tested it and as per instructions UPSed it to PA service center just a few days later. After multiple e mails and telephone calls,I'm still sitting here with my thumb up my a**.Promises, but no replacement gun.I was assured that only one in ten thousand pistols had to be replaced rather than be repaired,Boy,am I lucky! How would you good people feel if you were in my shoes.
In summary,I'll do everything in my power to widely publicize the egregious and unwarranted disdain with which Para is reacting to my problem.I have many handguns but Para has only one reputation I should have received a replacement along with a sincere apology or better still, let them refund my money.

para 7.45 LDA

Mr. Szabo, whose message appears above, happens to be the CEO of ParaOrdnance. He really didn't exactly address the situation head-on,did he?Come on Mr. Szabo, tell every one viewing the Firing Line how I'm wrong in my criticism of your company, its quality control, and its response to my now well publicized problems with Para.
If you think I'm over-reacting or psychotic about this incident,or if the stated facts are exaggerated, set forth your position. We deserve more than one cryptic sentence from you.

Gunorthopod-

Nothing personal, but I will be posting my positive experience with Para-Ord everywhere I see your negative postings.

My experience is that while most people are cocked and ready (no pun intended) to complain about a company or product, few people take the time to cite positive dealings they have had.

One of the things that seems to be making you mad is the red tape you will have to endure once your replacement finally makes it to you in California. For that I can understand your frustation. From what I have read your gun laws are rather oppressive (as compared to ours here in PA). The CA gun laws are not PO's fault, however.

As for how I would feel if I were in your shoes of still waiting-I don't like to wait myself and that's one of the reasons I was so impressed with PO.

I sympathize with your problem and hope it ultimately works out to your complete and absolute satisfaction. I just can't, in good conscience, not respond with my extremely positive experience with PO and their customer service people. As I have stated before, they have me as an extremely satisfied customer.

Good luck!

C7.45S

i looked at the C7.45S and i didn't like it for the following reasons:
1. left top of grip cracked
2. left side of frame was dented ahead of the trigger guard
3. starting to rust on the inside of the frame (brownish splotches)
4. handgrip too short for me
this is a new model and it should have never left the factory unless of course this happened afterwards, aside from the handgrip.

tcurtis is happy with para

Dear TomC;
I would be steaming over this situation even if I lived in Idaho or Wyoming or Arizona.I submit that, were you in my shoes, you'd be screaming bloody murder just as I am.The recalcitrance I've faced thus far is without parallel.I've dealt with other pistol manufacturers and been well pleased.Iam not looking for something to complain about but I refuse to sit back and be a passive victim of blatant corporate unconcern.Hope you never have the problem.

Hmmm, I am about to buy a P-12, but this is giving me 2nd thoughts.

P-O owes this guy some communication. It's good to hear about positive experiences of others, but those don't exactly help him, do they?
