Mark M33-
I have a D7.45 and a C6.45 and both are outstanding pistols. I have fired a great many more rounds through the D7 and have found it to be utterly reliable, extremely accurate, and generally easy to shoot. The same goes for the C6 but as I said I haven't fired it nearly as much as the larger gun.
The D7 had to go back to the Para repair center (when it was still located in PA) for repairs due to a non-Para induced issue. The repair was handled courteously, professionally, patiently, quickly, and with much personal attention from the person charged with repairs at that time. I can only speculate that the current repair center personnel will respond to any issues (should they arise) in much the same manner.
I have carried the D7 on and off duty and have felt completely comfortable with it. I have also shot it in IDPA competition and informal bullseye. The LDA trigger action, even though a longer-than-single action pull, begs to be shot rapidly, but can still be staged for a slower more accurate shot.
I have always been a fan of the Government Model and the LDA pistols are the perfect answer to those of us who like the Government Model but prefer not (for reasons of our own) to carry cocked and locked.
Excellent pistols in my opinion. Add a buck and it might just get you a cup of coffee!
