Paperwork question: SBR

Ok, I have my Form 1 completed, CLEO signed, passport pics, and finger prints cards... in duplicate. I'm just about ready to send in my paperwork for my PS90 to convert it to a SBR.

Now, I've read that I need to complete a 5330.20 form to verify residency/citizenship or something like that. I've never had to do that in the past for Form 4 transfers. Do I need to complete this form or do I just send in my Form 1?
 
That form was added sometime after 9/11 to assuage fears that millions of terrorists would buy guns to use against us.* Like the many of the other responses on the 4473, the answers can't be easily verified but a lie is a felony and could mean prosecution and imprisonment. I consider it a no-brainer. And no prevention at all except to cover BATFE's you-know-what.

Speaking of stupid, the Brady campaign really went into the silly mode at about that time with the claim that terrorists were buying guns at gun shows (the famous "loophole") and (get this!) smuggling them to Iraq and Afghanistan! Probably concealed inside shipments of sand to Saudi Arabia.

Sometimes, I think those folks were around the corner when the Lord gave out brains.

So, I do put my name on line 1. and 2., right? It seemed kind of silly to put my name on line 1. and line 2... but that's what I did. I just don't want it sent back for clarification. :)
 
I'm sending my paperwork for my SBR in today. I set up a trust so I didn't have to mess with the CLEO, finger prints, or a mug shot. I'd like to keep up with your timeline and see how slowly/quickly things go along for you in the process.

I won't know when they cash my check since I'm sending in a MO, but oh well, me knowing won't make it go any faster.

Yeah you are certifying yourself as a citizen. I guess there isn't anyone else that would really know for certain if you are a citizen or not. Maybe your mom.

As has been said before, the penalty for lying is probably so severe that a bad guy would only need to get caught once.
 
If you do not include the form with your paperwork, they will return it to you to have the form completed and returned complete before they will accept the papers and start the process.
 
Negative. They won't go through the paperwork until it gets onto an examiner's desk. If the examiner finds that the form is missing, they will send it back to you. Once they get it back it's usually only a week or so before it's approved. They don't put you at the bottom of the pile, they start you where you left off.
