Palmetto State Armory?

What is your experience with PSA? I have ordered a couple of lowers from them an have yet to recieve them. No one answers the phone and they are pretty slow on emails also. They seem to do alot of business you would think they could afford a secretary. It seems they even have an on going thread on a certain AR forum called Palmetto State Where Is My Order? Your thoughts?

I order from them, occasionally.
I've never had a problem with an order. They really do need to ship quicker, though. Some things will go out the next business day after your order, and others won't ship for possibly months. And, it isn't just complete rifles, upper receivers, lower receivers, and special order items, either....
Waiting 3-5 weeks for an "in stock" stripped upper receiver to ship is a bit ridiculous.

But, as I said, I still order from them periodically (mostly for stipped, blemished receivers, or when they have a substantially better price on parts than the competition).

As for that "Where's My Order" thread...
That was started during the mad AR-rush, when EVERYONE had months (even years) worth of backorders for anything AR-related. Now, it has just become a repository for impatient idiots to badmouth PSA and/or waste PSA's time by having them look up orders that were placed only 3 days prior. ...With the occasional order that's overdue for shipment, but still waiting on an item.
Don't worry about that thread.

Dont get me wrong not trying to run PSA down. It just seems if your willing to spend your $ with someone who wanted your future business they would asnwer the phone or respond to some emails in a timely manner.

I have ordered (ammo, lower, upper) from them in the past and I don't have any complaints. Quality and price were very good. Shipping time wasn't a pressing issue for me, but quality and price was.

Despite the cries of "We've WON!!!" from the anti's claiming that they've broke the country of gun buying because stuff is back in stock now and the craze has tapered off, we're still buying up tons of firearms. Places like PSA who are the default leader in inexpensive AR15's, parts, lowers... I think it's only fair to cut them a little slack. Demand is still huge, just not as huge as last year.

This thread is like dozens of others I've read about PSA... slow shipping/don't answer phone. They're a known quantity and it's been decided at the end of every single thread like this that to offer prices as low as they do, it would be impossible to keep enough employees on hand to build and ship everything at the same pace Amazon does.

I'm not saying one way or another what kind of company this makes them... I'm just saying... KNOWN QUANTITY.

I've bought 3 guns, BCG's, LPK's, and reloading stuff with them and never waited more than a couple weeks... but I knew that going in, and it wasn't an issue.

I've bought four bricks of .22LR from them on two separate orders in the last two months. I didn't receive a confirmation email, but I saved my order info just in case. Both orders were shipped quickly and securely and I received an email when they shipped so I could track them.

After i thought about it for the prices i got nothing to cry about. The parts i ordered are not a pressing need. I guess its just not the customer services i expected.

That's a reasonable way to view it. I've order too much from PSA. They've good prices and I would say they are a fine place to buy when you don't need the item in less than a month.

They seem a bit disorganized, and they effectively float themselves a loan on your credit card by charging weeks before shipping. Lots of people, me included, can live with that.

If my current order makes it in with in the next couple weeks without any issues they will continue to get my $:) I just got a little worked up about lack of communication on some FFL info they already had but lost and had to resend and i could get hold of anyone at PSA to verify anything.

My dealings with PSA: They have good products and prices.

If you have a lot patience and do not need something right away, they come highly recommended.

I had that recently too. They wanted my FFL to resend his info even though he was on file with them.

I've also had them hold an order in the past because they didn't have my ffl, even though they didn't need an FFL to send my non-firearm order.

If I needed something specific and in a hurry, I would get it from Midway. Their customer service is outstanding.

I ordered a couple bricks of .22LR from PSA on August 19 (got a confirmation email minutes after ordering) and received them yesterday, August 25. Each brick was wrapped heavily in plastic and both were placed in a large box with plenty of padding. No complaints here.

I've never had an issue with them. I've ordered lowers, parts, rifle kits, etc etc and the most I've had to wait for anything was about 2wks. I just ordered some of their new DPMS/SR25 style .308 lowers over the weekend, their CS department got in touch with me this morning (issue with my FFLs data on file), he got back to them, and they've already responded and are processing the order.

The biggest complaints come when there is a big rush on parts (daily/weekly deals that end up being extremely popular, introduction of new parts/gun, a run on lowers when they're selling them cheap because they're "blemished", or people scrounging for ammo). Most people have no patience and "want it now" while not understanding there are a ton of other people that do as well. I've been dealing with them since they were very small, single location and have never had an issue with their CS or shipping...they just get flooded during big deals and end up pulling their hair out trying to make everyone happy.

PSA had some really good deals this past weekend and I ended up making three different orders. One item was a complete Match Grade Upper with FF stock; I expected to wait a couple of weeks for it. To my surprise, all items will arrive this Thursday! I am impressed.:)

I've ordered a few things from them. Great deals but ship times were slow. That didn't bother me since it stated right on their site that ship times would be slow due to the high volume of shipping they were doing. Over all, very happy with them and I would buy from them again.

I agree it did take a bit for them to finally ship my items but it was well worth the wait seeing how it saved me about $65 compared to any other site that had the items I wanted in stock. Took 9 days to get my order.

I would buy from them again if the price is right.

I just placed a order from https://www.exilemachine.net/shop/ yesterday and according to the tracking I will have it on Thursday! 2 day UPS for $15 is fantastic! Their prices are crazy good on most items!

I ordered LWRC RAIL SKINS $17.60
BCM Complete UPPER ASSEMBLY FT M4 $102.63
YHM LOW PRO GAS BLOCK.750" SCREW $20.09
YHM Diamond SRS FOREARM SPCTR 9.6" $85.28

I ordered a VZ2008 from them Saturday night, I don't expect it to get to me for a while. Their website says five days to process orders and on another forum there were a bunch of guys who ordered the same gun and it took quite a while for some to get them.

Slow processing, not the best CS, crazy good prices.

Other places have great CS and fast processing but don't come close to PSA on prices.

Can't have all three.

I only ordered from them once when they had 50 shot boxes of Fiocchi .357mag ammo on sale for $16.95 with free shipping. While they didn't ship same day or even the next day, they did get the order out the door a few a days after I place the order so I had it in hand in a little more than a week if I recall.
I wish I had ordered more than 4 boxes!

Ordered a PSA 'dissipator' upper on 8/8, had it in my hands on 8/20. Considering uppers are assembled after the order is placed, I am more than pleased with the turnaround. I have other PSA uppers and the build and parts quality on all are top notch.
