PakMail...new rules

I attempted to ship a HiPoint carbine back to the factory a couple months ago and got turned down due to 'policy'. Ended up shipping from the FedEx terminal.

Anyway, I was back at PakMail yesterday and he informed me they are now allowed to ship firearms to the factory or an FFL. The catch? The firing pin has to be removed. This is apparently from corporate.

Discuss.

PakMail...you know, one of those stores that 'ship anything, anywhere'. Like Mailboxes, Etc. In the strip mall.

Tim...I had to ship a paintball marker back to the factory.

In this little town we have a nazi UPS Store, USPS, a FedEx shipping counter at the airport...and PakMail. That's all I have to work with.

So anyway, they require the firing pin to be removed. Some guns you can't even do that without major disassembly!

I suppose a query to pakMail is in order, asking them how someone would remove the firing pin from;

- Revolvers with hammer-mounted pins
- New revolvers with frame-mounted pins

My guess is that they'll just say it has to be removed and it's your problem. :rolleyes:

This smells of lawyerese. Removing the firing pin from most guns would only be a minor inconvenience to most thieves, but is a major pain for the legitimate owner. :mad:
