painting 1911 stocks

I'm making up a 1911 prop gun for a local play. The gun is supposed to be an extra fancy presentation piece and I want to make the stocks look like ivory or pearl. I have an old set of full checkered stocks that I'm going to sacrifice for this project. Any suggestions on what kind of spray paint? I know I can just use high gloss white but I wonder if there might not be something better. The audience will be about 10 feet or further from the action and, yes, money is an object.
TIA

Ivory is easy, get a spray can of ivory-colored paint from the hardware.

Pearl, you can sort of fake it. Cadillac has a "pearl white" paint, so you can probably find it at an auto parts store.

Regards.

Before you paint why not rasp and sand that checkering a bit?
Once the play has run you may be able to refinish and have a set of custom thinned grips.
