Being as disappointed as I was in seeing the OD P320 frames in person, I decided to just try my hand at some paint. My first time ever painting a gun... so I was a little nervous, but since I could replace it for $40, I didn't care too much.
I think it turned out better than I expected. I realize it's not everyone's cup of tea, but we'll see how it goes.
I used the Rustoleum Camo paint from Wal Mart.

It wasn't really a conscious choice, I just stopped on my way home from work and got what i thought would go together. It's very flat in color, much like the stock finish. It's a very thin coat all the way around, there are still some spots where the black comes through.
All I did was pull the FCU out, stick a wadded up paper towel in the grip and a strip of masking tape across the top. I hung it from a coat hanger through the take-down pin holes out on the patio and went to town. Just a few very light hits. Pulled off 2 small palm pieces from the trees by the pool for the texture.
I'll try to get some better pics in the sunlight over the next few days.
