Would you consider packing without a permit?
What if you were in a no packing city/state or under the age of 21?

only if things were dire, rioting in the streets and so forth. Just not worth getting busted for it in my area

I voted yes -- but only under certain circumstances.

I would, but only if in a SHTF or EOTWAWKI situation, where the normal social order has completely broken down. And in a situation such as that, I'd probably just open carry. As far as being in a no-carry state: I'd leave.

I voted no ... but obviously in a SHTF situatio as described above I would. Or if I knew of a specific threat (i.e. a person I fired who's threatening to kill me).

Define "packin"

Thankfully, I have never been in such circumstances and avoid them at all costs. I check state reciprocity and such when I travelcarry open in appropriate places and avoid places like Cali altogether. But I could imagine situations where the benefit would outweigh the risk/cost of doing so. I am also of the opinion that one's right to bear arms is not given to us by the state or even the fed, but that it is an inalienable (natural) right given us by God. Nonetheless, I keep myself within the law and pay the fees like a good little citizen. Grrr. Irritating to have to pay for our freedoms. Oh well...

I don't believe that CCW laws are constitutional, but I obey them because I consider the risk to outweigh the benefit. I would have to be in a situation where the benefit would outweigh the risk. So I voted yes.

Absolutely!
I carried on and off for about 20yrs in NYC.
During the '80s I was in the diamond biz and had private clients that I would have to show stones to.
During the '90s, I drove a Yellow Cab in NYC at night and did photography during the day.
I ALWAYS carried in the cab......and not just one!!!;)
I won'tget into it, but I actually drew it on a guy that had me drive up a desolate road and suddenly yelled "STOP! THIS IS IT!!".
I was so freaked driving up this road to begin with(there were a lot of cabbie shootings at that time), I wheeled around with my .38 pointed at his face and yelled "Waddayamean "THIS IS IT???"
That's when he tells me "This is it.....my stop."
I smiled sheepishly, turned around and said "Have a good night.":o

I have and would consider it, and if I thought it was necessary I would regardless of the law.

I would not let some words on some paper stop me from protecting myself or those I care about.

However since I'm currently residing in Texas it really isnt necessary as CHL are relatively easy to get.

The second amendment to the constitution authorizes me to BEAR arms. That IS my permit. I can carry a pocket constitution quite easily. Having said that, I do have one of those license thingies issued by the state.
