Pachmayr Pre-Ban Magazines for Browning High Power

Are Pachmayr Pre-Ban (13 round) magazines for Browning High Power any reliable?

Some claim that they are "the best aftermarket" (obviously except Mec-Gar) magazines.

Is that true?

Hello, Skorzeny! Pachmayer pre-bans ARE Mec-Gars! Just as Mec-Gar makes magazines for numerous gun makers, so did they here. They are great magazines. Best and good luck.

If I'm not mistaken they were made by Mec-Gar for Pachmayr. Mine are stamped Pachmayr on the left side and Made in Italy on the right.

Skorz, many Pachmayr mags are made by Mec-Gar, the better ones are anyway. You might also consider the 17rd South African mags. Mark THG and I believe Mr. Camp have had good luck with them. I just ordered 9 for myself yesterday for $20 each from Magtek. Nick owns Magtek and is the son of the owner of CDNN, they can be reached at 915-690-0125. Leave a message and he will get back to you when it is convienient for you, he called me near midnight.

Thanks for the information, guys!

I knew I could count on the regulars (such as Stephen A. Camp and Jeff OTMG)!

PS. Does Don OTMW frequent this board at all?

Hello, Skorzeny. Jeff has it right, at least in my view! I bought two of the SA 17 rnd mags and tried them. One hung up one time with a particular JHP; the other worked fine.
I ordered two more and they worked fine with everything. I then ordered 2 more with no problems. CDNN is in fact having a clear out sale on these now, but I don't know how long they'll last. A nice thing, they send a mag loader. I detested these things, but really like 'em for loading these SA mags the first time. If you can get 13 to 15 rounds in, things get better after a few days and you can load on up! I don't put more than 15 in mine as I'm used to 13 + 1! They are worth the money. Best.

Skorzeny, Don OTMW has not made it over here. I don't think he would have the time to post in both places and his responses would tend to chew up Richs' bandwidth. I could just see warnings from the moderators, 'Don, your posts are too LONG.' :D

Good to see Condition One popping in every so often, hi Joe.

As I said the mags CDNN has are the same that Magtek has, Magtek uses CDNN's inventory, but since Nick is a buddy of mine I try to drum up business for his side of the company.
