Pachmayr black powder pistol box - wow?

I had been looking for the perfect "take into the field" all inclusive pistol box that was not a modified fishing tackle box. I just bought a Pachmayr pistol box made exclusively for black powder. I didnt know they made such a box and have yet to see it in person but supposedly mint and looks just like their other classic boxes externally. The label on the box even says "black powder", however, when I do my best internet searching, can find no one mentioning such a box or any background on it. Is this an unusual or rare piece? I paid a fair price for it on Ebay - a buy it now for $90.00. Anyone have one?

I wasn't able to find anything on a search for it either. Any chance you could post some photos of it? We'd all love to see what it looks like. Many thanks! :)

That's vinyl over plywood and haven't been made for over 10 years. I have the modern pistol version of the same case. Mine came with a c clip to hold the top open and a bolt through the door that would attach to a spotting scope. The only problem with mine is it's not tall enough for my scoped guns and not long enough for my 8" barreled guns. I paid about the same price for mine and have been offered more on occasions at the range.

The outside looks very much like my good ol' Gun-Ho standard bullseye box. I'm curious how the interior of the Pachmayr BP box is laid out.

The seller just gave me this info:

My dad bought this case approx 25 years ago and as far as I know it was used very little. The lable is as follow's:

I'm trying to remember, but drawing a blank, didn't Pachmayr leave their Los Angeles location for the foothills (Monrovia/Pasadena) in the 1970s? Anyone have a clearer recollection?

That is good looking shooting box.

My first box was a cross between a fishing tackle box and a tool box that Plano marketed as a shooting box. It served me for a good while but I finally wound up with one very much like yours, although not as nicely fitted out.

Good purchase.
