The small town police chief(he's the only sworn LE officer,): Mark Kessler, may soon lose his LE job due to his online videos & pro-2A stance.
The town is Gilberton PA.
The community seems split about Kessler but the town that employs him stated they will remove him very soon.

The real news....

According to media sources, Gilberton PA only has approx 900 residents.
"Chief" Kessler was reportedly earning $33,000.00 per year.

I guess that's how he purchased all those class III buzz guns & Glock 18s.

From what the local news has been reporting around here, the guns were property of the municipality, and were used without permission. At least that was one of the reasons given for the hearings and whatever else follows.

Kessler is the last person gun owners need on our side. The guy is a deranged lunatic.
While I believe everyone has the right to do their own thing, I do agree, hes really not the best one to be the spokesperson, and try and make the point. He and his buddies there in the clip do make for good "news" though, dont you think?

News report...

Another online clip states that Mark Kessler shot himself in the hand while off duty in a small town bar.

I file this whole news story under the "what were they thinking" just like the Westmoreland County(PA) sheriff who let go a 24 year old female deputy(who was arrested with heroin) telling the press he can't afford drug testing for his LE agency, .

This is where the DEA/FBI/IRS/DoJ should step in.

Definitely not a good ambassador for our cause. Sure he had the right to speak his mind, but to paraphrase something he should be familiar with: He also has the right to remain silent. If he waives that right anything stupid he posts on YouTube can be used against him in the court of public opinion.

Many police officers practice with city or municipality owned class III weapons. I have neither positve or negative thoughts about this. Kessler says he has the right to shoot these guns outside of work. Videos? That's his business.

A blowhard who gets off on playing tough on videos while reinforcing pretty much every negative stereotype of gunowners...

Gee, that is really helpful... not.

Sometimes I think some really rich anti-gun folks are paying guys like this one to do this kind of stuff.

Picture an anti-gun person thinking up the most stereotypical, negatively portraying, over the top video of a 'crazed gun owner'. Yes, it would look something like what this dofus posted.

Just watched the 'apology' video...
I wouldn't care what the videos are about if I lived in his justification, anyone stupid and childish enough to post them shouldn't be carrying a badge.
As a representative of our 2A rights...he's got to be on the anti-gun lobby's payroll. What a moron.

Well, when these are the only guys who'll support me (and I have to get them to come from out of town), my chances aren't too good:

I skimmed through his videos, and this man has a problem. His response video [severe language] is basically a chance to tell his constituents where to go, using no small amount of profanity and juvenile rhetoric.

Public servants are held to a higher standard, and by the videos alone, I can certainly see why people wanted him removed.

As a representative for us, he makes my skin crawl.
