Philadelphia: Let the Beatings Begin

Seeing that Southern Heritage is not the easy target they hoped for (in fact, they're losing), let's whip up something else to get the races all in a frenzy. Pull another old trick out of the hat - race relations.
And Thomas Jones got treated like a King - Rodney King; in the City of Brotherly Love.
But a lesson to the LAPD from the Gang in Philly: If you find it necessary to beat a black man senseless with the cameras rolling, make sure to have a few black cops on standby. That way, you'll keep your job, your local, so-called black leaders will call for "calm" instead of "burn, baby, burn, then calling Johnny Cochran."
Insensitive?
I'm only getting started.
How's this for insensitive? The national media is now on a mission: to find any liberal black man in Philadelphia who can string a sentence together, crown him as "leader" and then make sure the word "brutality" gets spoken.
Still, "all blacks should stay calm."
This is disgusting, and condescending to say the least. But we'll get back to the race thing.
The matter at hand was the use of force by the 12 cops who decided to have a stomping party on Thomas Jones' torso. As this news organization has kept track of police abuses around the country, we have decided to take a very controversial stand on what took place in Philadelphia between Thomas Jones
and 12 police officers with no bias whatsoever:
It was a fair fight.
First of all, if you're going to resist, might as well go all out, right? How dare that cop reach in his car without a warrant (after the first chase). How dare that cop try to stop him (after the second chase). Thomas Jones took an officer's service pistol, shot him in the hand, stole a police car, and made what could have been a boring day along the Delaware into something to remember. So, for all you so-called black leaders screaming brutality right now, I have three questions:
1) How many laws did Thomas Jones break before he was pulverized?
2) Is Thomas Jones breathing right now?
3) If Thomas Jones were white, would this case even make the news?
Look, everyone knows my stance on the use of force when it comes to police. But if I would have heard that this guy shot a cop, and stole a police car, my money would have been on his funeral being involving a closed casket in short order - suicide by cop. Whack & Stack du jour. But no, he's alive.
This may alarm some of you until you count how many dead bodies pile up each day- bodies of people who commit crimes much less serious than Mr. Jones here. Do we hear "brutality," "abuse of power," or calls for an investigation?
Perhaps - but usually when they are black.
So, who are the real racists?
For you white guys, you're toast. Whack 'em & Stack 'em material. That's because enough of you won't get off your butts when this happens to a white guy. After all, they probably deserved it, didn't they? There's always a reason for it, and of course, the cops have a right to "defend" themselves.
For those of you who are not, I'll tell you: The average white guy has been carpet bombed for the last few decades with guilt and low self-esteem over things he had nothing to do with. Like many blacks, they too have become victims of the war against the human spirit.
As this case quickly made the talk show circuit around the country, this is what I heard from many white people. The one's that got my attention the most were those law and order types who say, "Gee, we give the police the right to kill people. They should be more responsible than that."
Excuse me, but when did you give police the right to kill people? I don't recall ever voting for that. By saying that, you just gave police the "right" to kill you - unless you don't consider yourself people.
Two days ago, there was a shoot-out in Las Vegas - a white guy was killed. Just another day, and another report. No call for calm. No Justice Department investigation. Just a statement that "there was a robbery around the corner from where this guy was" according to police. Did they shoot the right guy? Who knows, and who cares?
He was just a white kid.
This is the fallout of race relations that few want to talk about. Let me put it bluntly: This one was just caught on film, people! There is a new Thomas Jones everyday. But as long as we keep looking as skin color before we look at anything else, situations like these will keep coming up. Why?
Because rather than dealing with the problem, we find it easier to point fingers. If there were real black leaders in that area, the statement would have not been "civil rights violations, but "We would like to let our
fellow citizens know that this "crack head" named Thomas Jones does not represent in any manner the entire black community."
Doubt you'll hear that anytime soon (but I could be wrong.)
Then the white community makes matters worse by throwing a heaping of guilt on the whole thing, only breathing a sigh of relief when they saw black cops pound this guy to the pavement as well. "Oh we must build bonds, we must heal the wounds, we must investigate."
What's to investigate? The guy got bad with a bunch of cops, and they opened up a can of "whoop-ass." What's the problem?
Oh yes, and the Republican Convention is coming soon. Let's all use this case to beat up on them. That'll make the white guys mad. And since (and I' ll put money on this) they will turn this into a race thing, ('those black cops were just following orders from their white bosses.') And the result: More racists are born.
Seriously. America, your government hasn't taken all this power - you have given it to them. You simply saw another example of it shown to you on television. Remember: This is the place where firebombing whole neighborhoods was cool long before Waco. Both sides, white and black need to stop looking at skin color and deal with reality. Turning this into a race issue will only make matters worse. Investigations for some and not others serves no purpose but to make others more angry - and nothing will be
solved. Why are police going off half-cocked these days? Why are more and more people running from them? Why are more people resisting? Why are more cops being killed by people, and people being beaten and killed by cops?
Philadelphia is just another example - caught on film.
Beatings of this nature may be just the beginning. When the Justice system has completely failed, this is what begins to happen. People take matters into their own hands - and I'm not just talking about Thomas Jones. I'm referring to the police as well. There are no winners in games like these, only losers. These are the people who make up excuses about who's wrong and right rather than understanding that crime is contagious. If there is a crime committed - no matter which side, America must stop looking at race as
the issue, or it will be one of the reason this country will die. And from the top down, government has become the monster we asked it to be. Unfortunately, until we seek to change it, we will continue to be
"entertained" in this manner.
