PA-63 slip on grip

Just tried to install a Hogue Handall Jr using alcohol as a lubricant. Well it ripped. I questioned the very knowledgable guy at the shop where I bought it if it is the right size. Did I mess up or was this the wrong size. Need some suggestions. Thanks

about 2/3 the way there...

Try contacting Hogue Grips themselves, they may stand behind their product and issue you a replacement with better knowledge on how to apply them. Good luck.

Brillo, I did the same thing exactly.(Hogue grip/PA-63. I took the torn grip back to the store and explained exactly what I did, what gun, and what the salesman told me about the proper size etc. He was very cool. he said he could install it if I like or I could try a new one, which he gave me for free. He admited they are a bitch to get on and wished me luck. He also gave me a few helpful hints, that I am sorry I cannot recall now. However, once it's on it's nice. The alcohol did not degrade this piece of rubber, and all is well.
