P99 DA to SA prob?

When I retract the slide on my P99 the 3/8 inch needed to put it from DA to SA trigger forward, it sticks, and the slide doesnt go forward unless I push it or shake the gun forward. If its done fast it doesnt stick but its hard to do that without ejecting the round in the chamber. Also it doesnt stick if I depress the rear of the extractor while retracting the slide leading me to think its extractor related. Does anyone elses P99 do this? Any suggestions?

yep

My p99 will stick like that sometimes. I just shoot that first da shot most of the time. the trigger pull is so nice it doesn't bother me.

Also, the bottom of the slide drags along the top cartridge in the mag when i load the first round of the mag sometimes. I have to use a little extra force to pull the slide back over the round.

no much help am I

I've had that problem, but only with particular types of ammo that has a straight edge to the bullet design that stick out of the case, which can catch the "rifling" in the barrel.

This probably has nothing to do with it, but myP99 .40 would uncock from single action mode ( if I would slowly stage the trigger looking for that moment of let off) and return to the double action trigger mode. If I stroked the trigger all the way through the single action cycle it would fire. Walther A.K.A. S&W said I was Crazy. I traded it . Nice gun but not the "perfect weapon" I wanted it to be.
