I was on a Militec-1 treatment mission. I had the gun almost dripping with Militec - barrel, slide, ejector, hammer, everwhere but the inside of the barrel which had a light coat - a condition that I would never consider for self defense.
I preheated the metal on the gun by waving it in front of a propane gas infared heater until it was uncomfortable to touch and cycled the slide a hundred or so times in order to speed the bonding process.
I had 8 hicaps preloaded with 15 rounds - 7 with Wally World Win white box and 1 with Speer 124+p Gold Dots.
I let them rip as fast as I could aim and reload, shooting the Gold Dots last.
NOT ONE HICCUP, and talk about hot!!
I even onehanded limpwristed the thing for a couple of mags to see if I could get a malf.
This gun has NEVER malfed on me and now I'm really impressed. It was so gunky. All I've ever done to it is polished the chamber and feed ramp with my Dremel when I first got it. I've put thousands of rounds through it -S&B, Win, GA, FED and Speers.
This was the 3rd Militec treatment for the P95 with one of them being as oven "Shake and Bake".
I did the same treatment to my G30 today but only had 2 10rnd and 1 13rnd hicap so it didn't get as hot as the P95 - one FTF and one failure to eject in 100 rounds. It was also dripping with Militec and hadn't been cleaned since the last time I took it shooting when it was also dripping with Militec and was really grungy so I'm not going to say it's not as reliable as the Ruger.
I have crossposted this from GlockTalk - The Niner's Club Forum for more to see.
