P7M8 New ..How to Lubricate

Just picked up my German Refurb. It looks new, except for the grind marks. My instructions are in German. I've been looking, but haven't found an Adobe Acrobat (English) P7 manual. I assume that I should strip clean and lubricate the gun. I think that I can figure out the strip and clean, but what are the fine points of lubricate?

YEAH! I'm probably going to rack the slide and pump out some ammo through my PSP tomorrow.

Put some gun grease on the slide rails. Standard gun oil treatment for barrel and barrel hood.

Use the piston cleaning tool (flat) to turn in the piston hole for a couple of turns to loosen the carbon residue.

BreakFree the whole exterior then wipe off the excess. Find some nice toasty ammo and shoot.

Hi Gary H:

Go to the www.hkp7.com web site. There you can access a technical manual for the P7. Don't overlube. Previous posters have reported good luck with Breakfree CLP. I clean with MPRO7 and lubricate with Ballistol which has been recommended by HK in the past. For storage or rust protection, I use Boeing T-9 which was designed to protect jet aircraft in sea salt conditions. Good luck.
