P7M10?

I think thats what it's called. Anyway its the 40cal version. I saw one for sale on the bulletin board at South River Gun Club this weekend. Anyone interested I will get the info for you. P.S. It ain't cheap! About $1200. if I remember correctly.

I love the P7. I really do. But the M10 is one fugly piece of work. I'll stick with the 9mm versions.

The P7M7 may have looked graceful, but it was a LARGE gun. Pretty much M1911 sized.

Still too bad HK never produced it. That was an odd situation. They had one they were showing around the trade shows. Check out our new .45. We aren't going to make it, but look...

The P7's fortes are balance, 'pointability', and slimness. The P7M10 somehow managed to do away with all three...

"..but never ever Fear. Fear is for the enemy. Fear and Bullets."
10mm: It's not the size of the Dawg in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog!

And with the mag ban, they could sell a fair number of M7s too. I'd buy one.

Walther was supposed to make a .45 P99, but they still haven't come out with one. The sales of 9mm have flattened, but they still won't go to the .45 to get sales.

Same with HK. They spent the money to design the gun, so why not make it?

I think the M10's looks hurt it dramatically, to say nothing of the increased cost over the 9mms. Now, the M7 was a tease, but if it could be brought over for under 1K MSRP, I bet they could make a go of it. :)

Once again I rush in, in defense of my clunky big headed child. The M10? I like my M10. As a matter of fact I like it even better after I got my M13. For the longest time I kept thinking that perhaps the M10 was not of the P7 pedigree. . . after all, that seems to be the general consensus. However, after I got my M13 I realized that the M10 is very much a P7. It's heavier, but nothing a good belt and holster couldn't take care of. It's very well balanced. The feel between the M10 and the M13 is virtually indistinguishable. It's very fast, very accurate, very safe, and a 40 something caliber. . . what more could I ask for.

Good Evening Everyone-

I'm with ya' HKP7M10! Mine has been extensively modified by ROBAR and is an absolute joy to operate.

Get yer' nice, high-quality belt, and a correct holster and you'll have no problems.

This stout, muscular-looking handgun placed in the hands of a focused, resolute gunowner is the definition of the word intimidation! ;)

Regards to all,

As I understand it, the M7 was never produced because of cost. It had a hydraulic system which really shot the cost up.

Shame.

You'd think after 20 years they'd take another look at it :(

My suspicion is that HK couldn't get the P7M7 to work reliably with the hydraulic buffer. This was originally meant for the K-series P7 in .380/.32/.22. Problems with the buffer and high cost could have killed the project. Still, there is a market for high end .45s, and the P7M7 would have been quite an addition to it. I would have bought two if HK had ever produced the thing.

They already are up there with the P7, so what's the difference? I suspect function also. Also think that the wondernine craze may have done them in at the time.

Good Evening Everyone-

You guys have a URL for pictures of the ever-elusive P7M7? Would love to see what it might have been like!
