P7 owners: Holsters?

Been carrying mine in a Mad Dog kydex "Taylor Thunderbolt" for eons until this last weekend when I stumbled across a Ross Leather pancake, model 5BUTR.

Holsters for these things are uncommon, to say the least; which ones do y'all use for CCW'ing the German Staple Gun?

Don Hume makes a vertical scabbard I occasionly wear under a sweater, however most of the time I use a blade-tech IWB for cc and the blade-tech belt holster designed for idpa for competion. Both the blade-techs will accomadate an M13 or an M8. Good luck finding what fits you. Depending on my dress mode I have two IWB's ( one fbi cant, one vertical cant ) and my two belt holsters.:)

delfatti isp-3 unbelievably comfortable, makes a distinct click when you put the gun in (don't know how he does that since it is leather and has no retention screws) and the solid belt slot makes it much more stable than loops.....15 degree cant makes the butt balance nicely....pics are here

For the P7M13 an Alessi CQC-S and a Ted Blocker #12 IWB. For the P7PSP an Alessi Watch Six Dual Talon and a Ted Blocker #12 IWB. The Ted Blocker holsters have a swivel belt loop which allows you to wear it strong side, crossdraw, SOB and just about anywhere else. Oh, also have a DeSantis New York Undercover Shoulder Rig for the M13.

Milt Sparks Versa-Max 2 in horsehide (if you can wait a few lifetimes for delivery)

I carry mine in Sam Andrew's McDaniel Special. It's a leather IWB holster similar to Summer Special but made with very thin but stiff leather. I don't know how much they cost now but back about 8 or 9 years ago they were $45.

Hi Tamara:

Over the years, I've tried a bunch of beautifully made holsters from makers Bruce Nelson, Ken Null, Lou Alessi, Mitch Rosen, Greg Kramer and others. I've never tried Horse Shoe Leather because I'm left-handed! With the caveat that a lot depends on your personal body build, my favorites are:

IWB: Rosen ARG Plus and Alessi Hideout.

Shoulder: This one is easy! Alessi Bodyguard

OWB: Kramer full-length belt slide and Alessi belt slide.

Best,

Jeff

Tamara,
All of my holsters are of the IWB "tuckable" type. I've tried three different kydex holsters that are great for retention, but not too comfortable. I have also used the Milt Sparks Versa-Max 2 which is an excellent holster and comfortable. I am just starting to experiment with the Alessi holster "The Ghost" which so far is comfortable and inexpensive. While on the subject of holsters, has anyone else ever considered gathering up your currently unused holsters for a particular gun and sending them to someone else to try. I would be willing to do this for the P7 holsters I have. I would send the holsters for someone to try and they reimburse me the shipping when sending them back. I trust the posters on this forum. Do you think this would work?

The FIST holster in the URL below is the one I carry daily. It's thin, light, and even though it is solid, I can move it back and forth for driving or walking comfort. It is solid "twist" wise. It really hugs your body and keeps a very low profile. The grip tension is adjustable as well as the cant.

It sits up high and conceals well under a vest. You can use it IWB or outside which I use with a vest. I have the IWB adaptors but haven't needed them. For you Glock fans, I have one for a 17. Several of us have the Fist's and love them.

P7's rule!

I have a Desantis pancake holster. I think it's called the Belt Scabbard or something. It has 3 slots so it can be worn with or without a forward cant. Excellent quality and very comfortable.

I'm using an Alessi CQC-S and a Comp-tac Ghurka, depending on the weather.

Couldn't go wrong with either, but "fit" is peculiar to each of us.
