P7 in movie

The P7 has been in several movies including "Die Hard" (1988) in the hands of Alan Rickman and "Wanted Dead or Alive" (1986) in the hands of Rutger Hauer. I have never heard of "Snatch". Is this a new movie or an old one? Who is in it? What is it about?

I haven't actually seen the movie, but the cover for John Woo's remake of 'Once a Thief' shows a bunch of people with guns on the cover. At least two of them appear to be P7's.

BTW, I would avoid 'End of Days' it's awful.
And not just because you keep hearing Arnie cock the hammer on his Glock.

Not a movie, but TV...

An episode of "Miami Vice" featured P7s prominently. The plot involved a Chilean arms smuggler. In discussing his latest shipment of HKs, he bragged about the P7 and its squeeze-cock mechanism. It was also his personal weapon of choice.

Not a movie or TV...

One of John Gardener's (inferior) James Bond books featured 007 carrying a P7. Always thought that was a great choice for Bond.

Yeah, big deal, but who can name a movie that featured the SIG P210 aside from the original Michael Caine version of "Get Carter"?

:D

An old show, "Wiseguy" with Ken Wahl. He sets himself up with one of the bad guys by talking about the merits of the P7 (or maybe the 13-shot model) and used one throughout that part of the series.

The doctor from hell in "Tomorrow Never Dies" uses one.
One of Arnold's cohorts uses one hidden in a videocamera in "True Lies."

The bad guy in Tomb Raider has one (I actualy think HK was a sponsor of the movie)

Nope, no P7s present in Tomb Raider. The bad guys (main one and Lara's buddy) both use Walther P99s.

Regards,
James

PS: H&K had some influence on Lara's choice of handguns because if you watch the extras on the DVD, she actually learned her weapons training using a Browning HP from a former SAS guy. Also, in the actual Tomb Raider game, she uses 1911s, Browning HP and Desert Eagles, but never used any H&Ks. But as many G36s and of course the USP Matches that were used show some H&K sponsorship.

Did you notice that Bond was able to shoot the "doctor from hell" in "Tomorrow Never Dies" without the cocked status indicator pin on his P7 popping up? Mine won't do that! How much extra work would it have been to teach Brosnan to squeeze the grip?

Didnt Roy Scheider have one in one of his movies? The bad guys steal his P-7 and kill a girl with it and videotape the incident.
Whay was that movie  ??
