P40 Covert exists!

I haven't seen one yet, but RSR is listing them in their catalog as being in stock, and in quantity. The P9 Covert has made it's appearance as well. I'd heard about 9mm but not the .40. Maybe there is a micro polymer coming sooner than anticipated.

correct about the P-40

P-40 Covert

I have a P-40 (with extended clip)myself. I love it! I carry it concealed with 180 grain hollow points. Let me know what you think! :D

I have shot the P9 and, even as someone that does not mind recoil, that sumbitch was kicking and torking in my hand like crazy. Has anyone shot the P40 here and can tell me if the recoil is even reasonably managable?

1031 - I carry a P40, with extended clip, concealed. I carry it loaded with 180 grain hollow points! It does kick like a mule but well worth getting used to. :D :D

I think that's what a local gun shop had just gotten in the other day when I was making my rounds. I didn't see Covert on it or the box anywhere but it was shorter in the grip than other P40's I've seen. I am not looking to get another .40 but it looked/felt like an interesting piece for .40 fans.

I own a hard chromed slide P-40 with night sights and it is a jewel, it will easily fit in the front pocket of a pair of jeans. I cary mine as an off duty gun and I like it. The 10 roun capacity of .40 cal gives you adaquate firepower in a very compact package. My 15 year old son loves to shoot mine and the last time he shot it, he put 4 rounds touching in the X ring from the 7 yard line. The Federal Hdra Shock 135 grain or the same in Corbons is my choice of ammo for it...7th

7th Fleet,

I have no intentions of being rude, but my P 40 only held 7 rounds on a good day. 6 in the Mag and one in the pipe. Does yours have some sort of mag extentsion?

I bet that's it. Like I said I wasnt' trying to be rude. If they made higher capacity's for a Kahr P 40 it would be good to know, because then it would be possible to compete in IDPA without 10 mag changes.

Bullitt - That is true. I wish the Kahr P-40 had a higher round capacity also! I am carrying mine with 180 grain hollow points. Hopefully, I won't need more than 6+1. But it would be nice for competition and at the range! :)
