Here is a few pics I took today between my Sig P320SC and the new HK P30SK.
Build quality both feel top shelf. They are almost identical in size except the P30SK is bit fatter. The P320SC holds 12+1 9mm and the P30SK holds 10+1 9mm. Trigger on the P320SC is noticeably lighter and the reset is shorter than the P30SK LEM.
Barrel length is 3.6" for the P320SC and 3.27" for the P30SK.

P320SC, no contest. There is no reason why the P30SK can't hold 12+1. Its bigger than the P320SC.
The P320SC has 12+1, better trigger, tritium sights, modular platform and seamlessly holds hi cap 15+1 mags that doesn't feel like a afterthought. The field stripping is significantly easier to do on the P320 platform. As excellent as the P30SK is, it really shows how extraordinary good the P320SC is.

I am a huge HK fan and own many but the P30SK doesn't bring anything new or special to the table as a subcompact. My USP Compact is still the HK DA/SA gold standard carry handgun.

Thanks for those pics mystro. I'm really loving the 320 platform myself. I have the F and C already and looking at the SC next. Especially with a little bit of action loving from Robert Burke. So buttery smooth.

As far as the Subcompact fied of guns, the P320SC sets the new standard. That kind of firepower in its size is outstanding. There really isn't anything out there that has comparable features at any price point. I said it before but, if you can find a P320SC buy one.

have a VP9 and a P320 full-size.......tough choice most days. my wife favors the VP9 - smaller grips.

I can't really agree that is is significantly easier. For me it's a little easier but I think you're stretching it a bit.

I do think the P320SC is a great pistol and between the two I would also choose the P320SC. If someone would make pinky extensions for the mags of the SC I would be all over it.

The P30SK is more like field stripping a 1911. aka...hold slide back to a 3/4 position line up the marks and push the slide lock pin from the other side. The P320 is lock slide back, pull down lever and let the slide go. Your done. You don't even have to pull the trigger. Probably the simplest take down of any modern handgun since the trigger doesn't need to be pulled.
Factor in how easy the trigger/fire control comes out, it is the simplest to strip to this level (see pic). I can strip a P320 down with the fire control out in under 20 seconds. A fairly detailed cleaning takes about 3 minutes and that's counting reassembling.

Field stripping the P320 and the VP9 is exactly the same.
Yup, yet the other HK family like USP,P30, etc. goes old school with their take down. The P30 has a edge over the others because you don't have to completely pull the slide stop pin out of the gun like the USP line.
I think Sig first designed the easier lever take down method.

Field stripping a P30 isn't even in the same ballpark as field stripping a 1911. There's no bushing and you don't have to be nearly as spot on in lining up the slide and the frame. Let's not even get into reassembly on a 1911 and being sure the barrel link is aligned properly and hanging correctly, that the slide stop will go in easily (a recent Colt I had was a nightmare here), and then holding in the recoil spring and plug down while getting the bushing in position.

The CZ 75 series would be a fair comparison.

You don't even have to pull the trigger. Probably the simplest take down of any modern handgun since the trigger doesn't need to be pulled.

The Springfield XDm did the same thing as a striker fired pistol years before.

When another gun can be stripped down this far in 20 seconds at a leisurely pace then we will have a comparable comparison. At this point in time when you have a gun with this unique proprietary function it is worth mentioning as a standout advantage.
I have 28 handguns and counting and have field stripped about everything I don't own as a RO and CCW instructor. There are easy guns to field strip and then there are really easy guns to field strip like the PPQ, VP9, Glock, XDm, M&P,etc... Then there is only one so easy even its guts come out in seconds and makes you wonder why nobody has done this before?? Its a armorers dream.
That's the take away with the P320 when field stripping it.

Thanks, both p320sc in 9mm and p320C in 40 have been flawless so far. The only issue is the P320 Subcompact still has limited holster availability so far. The 320Compact has much more holsters because of the square trigger guard. I did find many cross fitting holsters for the P320sc like holsters designed for the M&P Compact 9/40. Most of the soft holsters for the Shield fit it as well. The P320Compact fits great in P229R holsters and HK USP Compact holsters in leather as well as many duty holsters designed for it. I tried some holsters for the P30Sk and it is in the same boat as the P320SC. It fit in just about all the same holsters that worked for the P320SC but it will be a waiting game untill more model specific holsters come to market.

On a side note, if any forum members are interested in the P30K in LEM pictured above, I can get you a deal on that gun. It is their last P30SK they have. They ship reasonably. I know they are hard to find and are going to be a hot gun this year so if I can help any forum members out, I'm glad to pass it along. Would make a great summer gun....How is that for some temptation???:p
PM me if you want the details. (I do not work for the LGS just their RO).
