P32 vs. Seecamp .32

I posted this on Snappy's range report on his P32 but thought It would be best to post by itself.

A friend just bought a Seecamp at a gun show recently; paid $500+. Taking a look at the pistol, it seemed to be a very well made gun but the trigger felt a bit heavy. fit the hand well and guess it would make an excellent pocket pistol.

I've shot the P32 and was impressed with the trigger and the relative lack of recoil. I'd like to get some responses on how the P32 compares to the Seecamp. Is the Seecamp worth the extra $300+?
thanks in advance.

Seecamp's ......hah!!!!!

Best price I've heard in a while...

But,..........

Considering what's out there...it's still a rip-off.
Seecamp's have always been a ripoff.

If you want steel and are considering a seecamp, look at a guardian...for less then half the price "brand new"!

And after 500 rounds or so the Guardian breaks in quite nicely.

$800 for a "new" seecamp is like goldplating the NAA.
Doesn't change the guns operation...just makes you baby it more.

You're talking about an "Always" gun.

$500. ???
Well, maybe I'm just sorry for myself that I'm not that well off financially.

You are going to get A LOT of responses regarding how much better the P-32 is than the Seecamp. Also, I'm going to get SEVERAL posts telling me I'm full of "you know what". However I own both, and also several other pocket pistols. In my opinion, the Seecamp is the best pocket pistol being made today. What people have a difficult time understanding is that the retail price of a new Seecamp is $450.00. The reason they go for up to $1000.00 is that the Seecamp factory is able to turn out only 300 pistols a month and the demand is far higher than that, so people are willing to pay far more than $450.00 for a new Seecamp LWS-32. The Seecamp is mostly hand fitted and every one is inspected by Larry Seecamp himself.
As far as the trigger, mine immediately got much better the first time I lubed it with Militec-1. I was beginning to think mine was too LIGHT, but because of the long pull, I feel pretty safe.
OK....Let me go get my Nomex flight suit on before you start the flames. :)

You can get a P-32 for the low $200s these days. The last Seecamp I saw was $700. The Seecamp is clearly a better pistol in terms of quality, but I wouldn't pay $500 more for one. All depends on how cheap you can get a Seecamp. The slimness & 6.6 ounce weight of the P-32 make it better for front pocket carry, I would carry the Seecamp in my back pocket.
I used to own a Seecamp a few years ago. I paid $600 for it. I now carry an Autauga .32 ($300), very similar to the Seecamp. The Seecamp is very slightly smaller & lighter than the Autauga but the slight difference is not worth $300 to me.

my p32 has accepted hydra shock, silvertip, gold dot without the first failure, dont know about the seacamp but they seem very costly for such a small gun, happy shooting
