A dual caution: Kel-Tec says that they've had some bad heat-treating on some extractors. I apparently had one as it broke while shooting the first mag. They had the replacement part in my hand (about 1300 miles away) in a week. I kinda feel like it was my fault, though, as I was unfamiliar with the "semi-rimmed" case, and I could have inserted the rounds incorrectly into the mag. That would definately cause the extractor to whack the top cartridge in the magazine. Just make sure that when you load the mag, don't let the rim of one slip over the rim of the one below it. Otherwise, I've had about 500 error-free rounds through it. It's a good little gun. Here in Colorado, rust isn't a huge problem, but I have noticed that the bluing has worn off where my pocket holster touches it. Maybe get the hard chrome version.
