P32 feeding and ammo

I just received my new chrome slide back from Kel-tec. Now I'm having a failure to feed (jams 1/4 way in) the last round in the mag. Both of the mags. The barrel/slide I sent in didn't do this. Do I need to polish the ramp more or is it a mag. spring problem? Secondly, is anyone shooting the hot Carbon in their p32 and how do you like it? Thanks for any comments. Kevin

I'm getting ready to try the Cor-Bon ammo myself. On paper, they're pretty hot. I'm going to do some penetration tests and see how they perform.

My P-32 came hard-chromed from the factory. Before I shot it, I fluffed and buffed it following directions found at www.geocities.com/glodenloki/ - It made it butter-smooth and my P-32 has yet to jam with any round (I'm staying away from UMC ammo, though).

I'd fluff and buff it first before sending it out for any repairs (at least the feed ramp).

Let me know how it goes.

Big Al,
Did you just F&B the feed ramp or did you do the slide rails and hammer/slide interface also? If you did, did it take the chrome off of it? I have never F&B'ed a chrome slide before.

Kevin, I spoke to Marty the P-32 gunsmith at Kel-Tec, as you may already know, they do not chrome the slide/barrel you send them but replace them with chromed ones. He said he polishes feed ramps before they are chromed and does the slide rails too but only if he thinks they need it
I sent my other P-32 slide/barrel in last week to Kel-Tec to get the chrome. How long did it take for you to get yours back?
My other P-32 was nickel plated by jack fuselier, great job! www.gunsmith.fuselier.com

Alamo, It took just a day or two over four weeks to get it back. Marty said they had just gotten the parts in on 7/20 and I received it on the 25th. Big Al, I'll try polishing the ramp a little more and see if that helps. Let us know how the Corbon feeds and shoots. Thanks to all. Kevin
