P239 or P229 in .357Sig

Anyone have any comments or suggestions concerning the single stack P239 Vs. the double stack P229 in .357Sig? I have also seen a picture of the "new" Sig P229 in Stainless/Nickel. I would like suggestions as to which of these 3 handguns would be the best choice for PERFORMANCE. I will be trading in my P226 in .357Sig for one of these "smaller" frame handguns for conceiled carry convenience. Your input is appreciated. ------------- Galco Kid

Either one is a good choice. For concealed carry, depends on how easily each will conceal for you. On me, the P239 is easier to conceal as it's skinnier. The P229 could but it would be more difficult. Handle/test fire both and go from there. I don't know about a "new" model of P229 in nickel. They've been available for some time but they're just harder to come by.

the latest review I read (2000 G&A hanguns annual) on the P239 in .357SIG put 10-rd in 1.32" at 25-yard with Federal 125-gr JHP. That's pretty amazing for a sub-compact. :)
