On a Sig pistol forum, a member identified that his new P220 10mm had a much larger frame than his experience with other P220 handguns. He indicates that the 10mm is "exponentially" larger than other P220s.
He was having trouble finding holsters, resulting in his last resort being a custom holster.
My experience has been just the opposite. My P220s easily exchange out slides on to the various frames (full size, with and without rail, and carry). I switched the slides on my Match Elite .45 and the 10mm Match Elite reverse 2-tone and easy on, easy off. I did not shoot the guns this way. I did use the .45 magazine in the 10mm, worked well.
Both Galco holsters I use, Silhouette & Quick Slide, work well with both Match Elites.
My guns are both DA/SA versions - do the SAOs have larger frames? I didn't think so, same mags used in both versions.
