P10 anyone?

Seems like I'm the only one around my area that has the para ord P10. I have mixed feelings about this little canon. ANyone out there have one? I'm giving it a few more gun smith touches(my own)and few more hundred rounds at the range and if it doesn't behave, then I feel like dumping it and getting something else. Although nothing comes close to it's tiny dimensions, it's actually the same size as my Keltec p11. Geez, I wish keltec would come out with a double column ultra compact .45. i think I have only run into one otherin this forum with the p10.

I love my stainless p13.45. From what I've heard, when they chopped down the 1911 smaller than the Officers size (P12.45), they had some reliability problems. You can't beat that much post-ban power in a package that size, though (except maybe the subcompact Glock 10mm or .45).

My best friend has a P-10 and I found it to be totally reliable with full power factory loads, although there were problems with "cooler" handloads no doubt because of the heavy combat spring in it. I would prefer a P-13 simply because they fit my hand better

Para-Ordinance seems to have occasional flukes in their quality control; some of their guns work perfectly while others won't feed jack squat properly. I owned a dud P14-45 that wouldn't feed ball ammo properly, let alone 230gr hydra-shoks (which would get CRUSHED out of shape on the feed ramp). Never could get it to work, finally sold it for spare parts. I've heard of at least one other person with a worthless late-production Para, but then again alot of people seem really happy with theirs. FWIW.

KelTeKee,
Well you've found someone else who's bought a P-10.
Got mine about 3 1/2 years, soon after they came out. Wanted it for the size and stopping power. Had feeding problems from the git-go, and had to have the ramp polished twice. The only handgun I've owned that had to have worked done on. Also got a second mag for it ($59 - ouch!) and a couple of mag extensions for my little pinky. Really don't like the cheap plastic grips on it either; but I haven't swapped them out yet. After trying out a half dozen different factory loads and 800+ rounds later, it seems to like 230 FMJ the best. Though that's not my first choice in ammo. Haven't had any failures to feed in the last 125+ rounds, so maybe the worst is behind me.
The only pistol I've EVER considered trading in. But I'm glad I've held on to it.
A boogabear to clean, though.
At least you're not alone... ;)

The P-10 is a boat anchor! It should win an award for the heaviest pistol in the smallest format. :p

I too have a P10. Had it a couple of years. I have posted my problems here before.
I was having lots of problems with hollow points nose-diving into the bottom of the feed ramp, and an occasional failure to extract.
Some recommended I use 230 hardball to see if it would improve. I bought a box of UMC 230 gr. ball to try.
First 5 rounds failed to extract. Next one nose-dived.
In first mag full, only got 2 shots in a row without problems.
Second mag, 4 FTE,3 consecutive shots, then 1 nose-dive and 2 FTE. Started to load another mag, decided I wasn't having fun!!! Gave up!!
This is not only the worst gun I ever owned, but probably the worst ANYTHING I have ever owned!!! I will probably end up eating the $525 I gave for it, since I cannot recommend it to anyone.
