+P in a Ruger P90?

Is it all right to shoot +P Winchester SXT in my Ruger P90?

Also, for those of you that own one, do you recommend the Hogue grips?

I believe it would be okay. I can shoot +p in my P95.

Seriously, all Ruger stuff can normally take the heaviest stuff out there and still keep on firing. The P-89 manual indicates the gun is rated for all standard, +P, +P+, and NATO ammo available. I imagine the same is likey true for the P-90.

Do realize, however, that shooting large amounts of +P or similar ammo may accelerate wear on the firearm.

YES to +P in P90.
