I picked up a bag of new manufacture 9MM hollow point ammo for my Beretta 92F. I did not look close enough, but they are stamped +P. Can the Beretta handle this?

Thanks
John

You're fine shooting +p in a 92. Luckily, you own one of the most beefy, buffed up 9mm's on the market (not a bad thing).

That 92 should chew through anything you feed it for a long long time.

Just keep in mind the +P hollow point ammo is more expensive than standard pressure ball ammo. The +P hollow point is a good defensive load, and it's good to make sure it functions perfectly in your gun if you're going to use that particular brand as your primary home defense load. You'll notice it'll have a little more recoil than standard ammunition also. However, if your just going to the range to practice shooting, it's a lot more economical to find some standard pressure ball 9mm to shoot. Again however, it's important to make sure the defensive load of choice functions perfectly, and you're familiar how it shoots in your gun. Enjoy the 92.
