P-95 Blue Finish Problem?

I have noticed that the blue finish is beginning to wear off where the slide release makes contact with the slide. The area is close to the frame and is about 2 1/2 inches long. It's not severe but noticible. Is this "normal" wear or is the slide release sitting too close to the slide. Any ideas on solving this problem (if it is one).

I don't have any wear on my P95, I only have about 1000 rounds through it.
If I did I would give Ruger a call they will take care of it.
I sent my P95 back as a last resort I was just about to trade it and I am so glad I didn't trade it. The SA trigger pull was very gritty and I did not want to send it in since alot are like that anyway. But they replaced the hammer assembly blocker lever and sear and it is real sweet now.

All I can say is "They will make it right"

If you don't want to go to the trouble (and having your gun gone for a few weeks) of sending it back to Ruger try some of the at home bluing you can buy at any walmart or local gun shop...i've used it on a few different handguns...it works well and it's easy to do,
Tony.
