I recently got a OWB for my Kahr P9 from Gary Brommeland. It is a beauty, and is worth a look. I don't think it can be beat. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but there is something special about this holster.

Both Milt Sparks and Matt DelFatti make some fine holsters that are at the top.
I got the LP for my son-in-law for his upcoming birthday.

The Sparks I-BAK has been my main 1911 Compact holster for a couple of years, and I am very satisfied.

I recently got a Laredo Defender for a G26 from Kevin at K&D. I especially like the easy on/off of the snaps, and it holds as tightly against my body as a pancake. I liked it so well that I have another on order for a Smith J-frame 3 inch .357. He does excellent work at a very reasonable price.

Those are my favorite OWB holsters. I normally carry OWB as a good pancake stays tight, and is easily concealed with a shirttail outside the pants or anything like a jacket.
Get a good one that you will be satisfied with the first time, and it will save you a lot of money. Several that are not really what you want cost more than one that is top notch.
Get a GOOD, THICK leather belt. All of the holster makers mentioned make great one. I have not seen those made by the makers I have mentioned. I have three 1.25 inch belts by RafterS. The sharkskin ones are very pretty, and are a great buy.
Hope this gives you a starting place. Others will make recommendations that are as good. Don't skimp om either the belt or holster.
Best,
Jerry
