Over the Top? Shooting Campaign Signs ....

OK, call me a radical ... ;)

I've picked up some Gore / Lieberman campaign signs from the local Democrat HQ. They asked why I wanted them, I told them I wanted to use them in a demonstration, and they said they 'supported the right of everyone to express his / her opinion'. Perfect. I do recognize they might have misunderstood my intent ... ;)

'Course, the expression of my opinion is to use them to sight in rifles, and perhaps to sell them to others who wish to do the same .... as a serious expression of my opinion of the Gore campaign, but without any suggestion of violence.

I have some friends who caution me that this will be seen as 'over the top'. It will generate official / government suspicion, questions, investigation, etc.

Now, these aren't photos of anyone ... just campaign posters. Have we slipped so far in this country that I can't shoot up some posters without being labeled as a homicidal maniac?

No kidding ... what do others think? Am I being naive here?

Thanks. Regards from (free?) AZ

Want to buy some Bill Clinton or Al Gore Targets?

Over the top? I dont think so. Want to buy some Al Gore or Bill Clinton targets?

I don't find it anymore over the top then my use of AOL cd's for targets. Those are great, they are free and they send me at least one a week.

Caeca, I'm glad I'm not the only one. And no, it doesn't sound over the top to me. As you said, you're not even shooting at pictures.
There was a time when people could burn politicians in effigy without fear of any serious reprisal as long as no one was hurt. It was probably a base and low-class thing to do, but it wasn't considered to mean you were an evil murderer.

Hey Caeca-
I like the AOL cds too, but they last me a long time. I only shoot through the hole in the middle!! :)
