received my Rimrock stock for a Enfield P17, 14 and assuming for my Rem 30 Express. I am awaiting my barreled action but I have noted the barrel channel is quite over sized. For the time being just for grins I took a barreled action Rem 1917 and set it somewhat in the stock to see exactly the amount of excess gap--quite abit. These stocks are supposed to be 95% fit and no problem with that. What do or what can I do to fill in the oversize or is this done. Be a shame to buy a #4 or #5 contour to fit the stock
Being synthetic what is norm for this? Rough with 80# sandpaper and use release agent (Mothers carnuba) and lay in MarineTex(my past preference) and free-float? Sounds too good to be true.
advice welcomed
