Outers Foul Out II

Hey there

I have an old Outers Foul Out II unit. Anyone know if I can use the new "Plus" solvents of Cop Out and Lead Out in my old unit?? I tried contacting Outers by e mail a few days ago, no replies as of yet.

IMHO, this is the best way to clean a gun yet!! I realize the newer unit may be better, but I already have the AC adapter and all for the Foul Out II.

Thanks!!!!!

I had the same problem and contacted Outers. They said the Plus will work in the Foul-Out ll. It even states that on the Plus bottle.

Thanks

Hoghunting, thanks, that's good news. I haven't seen a bottle of the new stuff, Have never seen it in any store. Always had to order it from Midway or the like.

Thanks again!!!!!!1

I sure like mine!! I made some stands out of pine boards and padded clamps to hold my guns in place while the unit does its thing. I would say that holding the gun while the unit is working is the only negative thing I could say about it. Just be sure to shop around on the net to get the best price on the solvents. $3 - $5 differences on bottles of the solvents. Unless you know a gun shop where you can buy over counter. I have never seen any in a gun shop, personally.

Foul Out solution

I've not tried the following yet...passed on to me by colleague who analyzed one
of the bottles. Price can add up quickly if you're having to purchase. Said it was
basically the same as follows:

Raymond,

Here's the recipe. It's supposed to work on lead and copper fouling.
I've seen it work on lead.

1 part white distilled vinegar
1 part white household ammonia
2 parts distilled water

ingrediants sound same/similar to those floating around the Net for years
and suggested for cleaning. if it is accurate, that's quite a mark up in price
for something so basic in content.
