Outdoor life Optics tests

Yes, I realize that their tests are a bit based at times but the latest issue of Outdoor life has a nice gun and optics test section.

it's no secret that I think that the bushnell 4200 series scopes are a great scope for the money and outdoor life agreed. In fact I have 6 of the 6-24 X40's and surprise, surprise....Outdoor life rated it a best buy

the new 6-24 is shorter, lighter and has a side focus rather than the AO like mine are. It looks like they have taken a great product and made it even better, hopefully without sacrificing on the quality or workmanship.

take a look at all the recent issue's tests here:

Very interesting; thanks. :) I have an Elite 4200, and it looks like I'll be buying more - though I do wish that that 6-24 had a bit larger objective, of around 44mm.

That was an interesting comparison.

I'm still peeved that they didn't include CZ rifles in the other testing..
Remington and Savage sure got their fair share of exposure.

Guess that Outdoor Life doesn't want to show it's readers high quality guns at less cost than the usual American favorites.

I might accept Japanese optics, but not willing to buy Japanese made rifles just yet. Or are all the current Rem and Savage rifles 100% made in USA?
