...which I never carried and rarely fired, and I took this one in trade for it. I think it is from 1977 (S/N is 207xxM)

A good looking piece you have there 9x19...and about all you'd need in any civilian CCW to my way of thinking. Hold on to it, you'll come to like the size and usability...mine was a constant companion for years of trout fishing in the Smokies. Wish I still had it, but this Smith does about as well but at 16% less fire-power! Best Regards, Rod

This is an interesting trade.

I don't care for snubbies by my nature. I also don't care for Glocks... but I do own one and it's my carry gun. Same size as the G30, my EDC is a G29.

I believe as a carry gun or as a defensive gun in general, you traded down. However, in your situation--- I would probably make the same trade.

I really don't care for snubbie revolvers, but this sure is a fine looking revolver. From the single picture, it looks almost minty.

Glocks are a dime a dozen. In the time it took me to type that sentence, they made 300 more of them. These old Colts may NEVER come back.

I think you made a fine trade! I'm willing to bet that the person who made the swap may regret it one day.

I would have made that trade any day of the week and twice on sunday! :D

You can buy another glock anytime you want (if you ever want it back). You won't find that Colt on too many LGS shelves anymore.

Yeah, I didn't make the trade with a change in defensive carry in mind, just getting rid of a common pistol that I didn't shoot.

rodfac,

The 36-6 is a sweet little revo!

Here's mine:

Comfy looking grips you've got on that 36, there 9x19. It's a very useful handgun...small enough to tote easily, and long enuf in the bbl that you have useful, adj. sights. Looks like you've kept your piece in nice condition. Rod
