    2. Copyright law provides for “fair use” of portions of a copyrighted work. You can copy no more than a SINGLE paragraph from the article to your post (3 or 4 sentences at most).

    3. You must provide a link to the article along with the name of website. For example: ww.xxx.yyy/zzz (The Lower Thumbsuck Daily News).

    4. You must provide, in your own words, a brief summary of the article AND your reasons for believing it will be of interest to TFL members. Failure to do so may result in the thread being closed or your post being deleted as a “cut and paste drive by.”

    5. Photographs and other images are also copyrighted. "Hotlinking" of images (so that it appears in your message) from other sites is also prohibited unless you own rights to the image. If you wish to share an image, provide a clickable link to it.

Posts that do not follow these new guidelines will be altered or deleted by staff. Members who continue to violate this policy may lose their posting privileges at TFL.

So I frequent several firearm forums online, I like each for it's own reason, but this is the one that I tend to go to the most. However, there seems to be a problem with THR not working (and Google actually telling me that it can't find that site). Anybody know what's up?

We will not get into any ongoing legal issues between thr.us and thr.org.

That is a private matter between two people who are contesting who owns what. The Court will settle the issue, not us.

With that said, at this time (16:12 MDT) the DNS servers for THR.org are down. Whether or not the actual site is down is problematic, if the DNS server won't respond.

Moving to the Tech Support forum...

Unless you registered at thehighroad.org before around October 2008, you will need to register at thehighroad.us. Registrations before that date were carried over.

Thanks! I just re-registered, but not much is going on. I think Oleg will have to rebuild his user base, and get some new moderators. Oddly, those asking questions are getting threatened by the moderators for being "snarky" instead of getting answers to their questions.

So Art Eatman is there, huh? :p

Just hope .org is up soon, before withdrawals set in.
You and me both...seems like you are like myself. Member everywhere (and probably browse most firearms related forums), but tend to do your jaw-jacking at THR.org most of the time. :p

I generally hang out at THR.org because there seems to be a larger base of folks with similar interests there than anywhere else, but I browse many forums (mostly here and THR.us) and have noticed that most gun related forums were down earlier today. Including THR.us, which lead me to believe that the problem stemmed from the legal debate when checking both of the THRs, but then checked here as well as APS forum, only to find these forums down as well. Didn't try SnipersHide, ARFcom, or Saiga12 Forums, but I don't mess around those too much. Perhaps it is just me, I didn't perform a thorough check anywhere but .org, which is very much down. Don't recall the last time it was down for such a lengthy period of time (since last night that I know of).

Could it be simultaneous DOS attacks causing the trouble? Which Brings me to the next order of business...anyone want to bombard anti-RKBA sites creating our own DOS attack. < I keed, I keed. :D

I don't know anything about the THR.org effectively being down, but the top level DNS record lists the DNS server as NS.WELLBUILTNETWORKS.NET and that address is not reachable right now. So my guess is that the Wellbuildnetworks DNS framework is screwed up and it's affecting anything that they would serve DNS for.

After reading about the dispute between THR.org and THR.Us I'll never log onto the .org site again. For sure I'll support Oleg. I'm sorry to say I never knew what happened.

As Antipitas said, we're not going to get into the legal issues between the two sites.

Original question asked and answered, so closed before there's any more drifting.
