OT: Need info on pending trip to Florida

I am lucky in that I get to travel to our US operations in Ft Lauderdale. I will be down in the next month or so and would love to get out and see the "glades". Not with some tourist styled "guided tour" but Id like to find a local guide and rent an airboat for a weekend trip. Does anyone at TFL know of where a fellow could set this up?

Oh you are brave to face the Everglades this time of year.. yer got Skeeters biggern' hummin birds, BIG gators and unpredictable weather..
I'd say your best bet is to look online for a fishing guide service, If they can't do the type of trip your looking for they'll probably be able to recommend someone...

Fishing is REAL good especially with some of the imposted species, Tilipia comes to mind..as does the Peacock Bass..

Have fun and be sure to take pleanty of sunscreen and your industrial strength bug repellent..
